Welcome message to the February 2008 conference

Dear Delegates,

It is a great pleasure to invite you to LIMUN 2008, our renowned student simulation of the UN, set in the heart of one of the most exciting global cities.

LIMUN strives to be an outstanding MUN conference - both in quality and size. Our agenda has been discussed in endless Secretariat meetings and I am proud of the twelve committees that have hence been established. Among them are ones not seen at any MUN before: Global Compact and the Special Session on Eliminating Religious Intolerance. Hand-selected chairs will be directing them, ensuring that you will both be inspired and challenged in your committee, may it be your first or twentieth conference.

Eight hundred delegates from across the world attend, giving you all opportunity to meet and debate with some of the brightest fellow MUNers and party with them at our social events. One of the current Secretariat's priorities is to organise these.

I recommend you apply soon, as we have seen a great interest in our conference in the past weeks. Let me also encourage you to ask for a seat in Global Compact for your delegation and if you have some MUN experience, to go for the challenging Crisis Committee or the International Court of Justice.

Don't forget to join our Facebook group and feel free to write to us with any questions you may have. The Secretariat and I hope to be meeting you in London.

All the best,

Jasper Pandza

Secretary-General
