Who we are

LIMUN is organised by students from
London universities.Contact us about volunteering
opportunities

LIMUN is a registered independent charity which aims to extend cultural empathy, understanding of international affairs, and knowledge of the United Nations amongst young people through the organisation of an annual Model United Nations (MUN) conference.

LIMUN is entirely organized by students from the various colleges of the University of London. It aims to build an understanding of global challenges amongst young people that crosses borders of background, culture and nationality. Using both the knowledge and the relationships they form through MUN, it is hoped that that the next generation of world leaders and thinkers will be able to work co-operatively to find solutions to future global problems that are compatible with the aims and principles of the United Nations.

LIMUN is committed to extending knowledge of international affairs to all young people. The outreach programme works with inner-London youth groups, extending access to those that would not otherwise have the opportunity of experiencing MUN.

Volunteering Opportunities

LIMUN is entirely organised by students from the various colleges of University of London, whose wealth of knowledge, experience and diversity greatly contribute to the overwhelming success of the conference.

LIMUN is dependent on the skills provided by the the student volunteers of the Secretariat team. Volunteering not only offers exposure to all the skills required to manage a major project, but also provides a terrific sense of achievement once the conference is over.

If you would like to take part in organising LIMUN, do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat. To volunteer for the 2012 conference, please email Sehrish Ejaz Khan at logistics@limun.org.uk.
