INTRODUCTION TO LIMUN

The secretariat
Welcome to the official website of the London International Model United Nations (LIMUN)- the largest annual university-based Model United Nations conference in Europe. LIMUN has a reputation for an exceptional standard of debate, set in London's unique and cosmopolitan atmosphere. Each year we welcome more than 1,200 delegates from across the world to London to debate some of the most pressing issues within the global agenda. This year we are expanding to 1,500.
Taking on the role of world leaders, young people work together to find solutions to international challenges, acquire new knowledge and skills, and build relationships that cross borders of background, cultures and nationalities. Further information about Model United Nations (MUN) can be found in the Introduction to MUN section.
LIMUN's committees and agenda offer something for all delegates, from newcomers to MUN veterans. Committee sessions are, as always, complemented by a range of social events showcasing London's unique atmosphere and culture.
For its 2013 edition, LIMUN will bring many distinctive features, among them: new committees, more than one working language, with committees on English, French and Spanish and new events prior the conference.
We look forward to welcoming you to LIMUN 2013!
2013 THEME: MDGs -
TIME TO MAKE THESE HAPPEN

LIMUN 2013 is going to evolve around the Millennium Development Goals (MGDs), which are eight international development targets aimed at meeting the needs of the world’s poorest and most marginalised people.
The MDGs represent a renewed and concentrated effort by the international community to refocus years of debate, efforts, and struggle to advance the economic and social development of the world’s poorest nations. With this internationally agreed framework, it is hoped that the MDGs will continue to galvanise unprecedented efforts in poverty eradication. You can get further information about our 2013 theme by clicking here.
