Meet the Secretariat

Rishi Raithatha

Secretary-General

Hi everyone! My name is Rishi Raithatha and I am a third year student at the School of Oriental and African Studies, where I’m currently reading Economics and Politics. My Model UN career begun in the humble confines of Nairobi, Kenya, where I was a spectator at the 1998 East African Model UN Conference. Since then, I’ve participated in various conferences in the UK and in Europe, before taking on the role of Secretary-General of LIMUN 2009. Together with my team, I will ensure that LIMUN 2009 will be of high quality and that retains its social ambiance, at the same time, for it to be a successful conference again. I look forward to welcoming all of you to London in February.

Isabella Torres Maluf

Under Secretary-General (Chairing & Delegates)

Hello, my name is Isabella Torres Maluf and I was born and raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil. I moved to London last September to attend Imperial College, where I am an undergraduate reading Chemical Engineering. My interest in Model UN conferences dates back to 2003, when I was assigned the position of note-passer at a local conference. I am glad to say that I have progressed significantly from those days, and have held posts that include Secretary-General of the Brazil Model United Nations and Committee Director of Global Compact at LIMUN 2008. I look forward to welcoming everyone to the exciting city of London in February for what should be our best conference yet!

Zaneta Denny
Under-Secretary General (Communications and Development)

Hi, my name is Zaneta Denny and I am a final year student at King's College London. I study European Studies with French
and had the privilege of spending my third year at Sciences Po, Paris, as part of the ERASMUS exchange scheme. I caught the MUN bug in my second year at King's and have attended WorldMUN, Geneva, in 2007 as well as a number of other MUN conferences. This will be my third LIMUN conference and as a native Londoner, I hope that you will enjoy my city as much as the conference itself. Vive LIMUN '09!

Sunny Wong
Under Secretary-General (Finance)

Hi, I am Sunny Wong and I am a third year student reading Economics at University College, London (UCL). I’ve been participating in Model UN conferences for the last four years and this will be my second LIMUN. I have been enjoying the privilege of being part of this community immensely. Being the Treasurer of LIMUN (and a typical economics student), I aim to provide our delegates the highest quality LIMUN experience at the lowest possible cost. LIMUN 2009 is guaranteed to be fun, and I am expecting your participation in this very meaningful event!

Andrew Jude Rajanathan

Under Secretary-General (Administration)

Hello everyone, my name is Andrew Jude Rajanathan and I am a third year student reading Politics at Queen Mary’s. I have participated in Model UN conferences for the last two years, alongside a variety of other global conferences such as World Youth Congress. The 10th edition of LIMUN promises to be a unique experience and hopefully it will be one of the best conferences yet. Aside from Model UN, I enjoy all social activities especially eating great food, with great people in greatest city in the world: London. I also love politics and networking – two key themes many of you will learn about as LIMUN delegates. I look forward to meeting you all at LIMUN 2009.
