Meet the HS Secretariat

The LIMUN Foundation is a charity, and we rely on the talent and generosity of amazing student volunteers to deliver our two annual conferences.

In order to continue to deliver two conferences annually, we need the delegates of today to be sufficiently impacted by their experience so they too want to give back by volunteering in the future. If that’s you and you’re interested in joining a future Secretariat, send us an email - we’d be delighted to hear from you!

  • Josefina Infante Kozarow, LIMUN HS 2025 Deputy Secretary-General

    Lily Connolly-Woods, LIMUN HS 2026 Deputy Secretary-General

After serving as the USG Academics for LIMUN-HS Edition IX, Lily is thrilled to come back for LIMUN-HS Edition X as the Deputy Secretary General.

Lily is a student at the University of Exeter, studying Politics and International Relations. Born in Belfast but raised in London, Lily began her MUN journey in high school as a result of her growing interest in international diplomacy and conflict resolution. She spent her first year at university as an active member of the Exeter Model United Nations Society, chairing debates, becoming the Social Secretary for 2024-2025. Currently, she serves as the President of the Exeter Model United Nations Society for the year 2025-2026 She spends most of her time chairing debates, coming up with social ideas and writing study guides for ExMUN’s Social Debates.

At conferences she loves to be a part of sociopolitical committees, especially SOCHUM, SPECPOL, and UN Women. She hopes that delegates at LIMUN HS: X are able to develop a passion for MUN and is excited to see delegates become a part of the MUN community.

Outside of Model UN, Lily spends her time singing in classical choirs, creating publicity and being a novice photographer.

  • Ashoka Bandi Phillips, Under Secretary-General for Chairing

Hello everyone! My name is Ashoka and I will be your USG Chairing for LIMUN HS this year. Previously I have served as USG Academics for both YouthMUN and SOASMUN alongside doing other various gigs in the debate/MUN worlds. Moreover, I also chair both Crisis and GA committees with the added Legal committee thrown in every once in a while.

This year I hope to ensure that the quality of chairs at LIMUN HS is the best it has ever been and that the personal growth of delegates and chairs is central to everything we do.

As one half of the acads team, alongside Lily, we know there's some amazing ideas that our chairs have presented us with that we cant wait to share with you all.

Godspeed and see you all soon!

  • Megan Kong, Under Secretary-General for Delegate Affairs

Megan is a Master’s student at LSE, majoring in Criminal Justice Policy. She is from Hong Kong, and moved to London in 2022 to study Politics and International Relations at UCL. Her MUN journey started in 2017, where she had a simple goal of wanting to improve her English, and has stayed in the circuit since then. She used to serve as the USG Academics and USG Delegate Affairs at UCLMUN, and this time, as the USG Delegate of LIMUN HS Edition X, she is confident that delegates will be in safe and capable hands, and cannot wait to meet everyone!

Outside MUN, she does a lot of things, and is a singer, dancer and a former Taekwondo athlete. You can also find her constantly contemplating the choices of life, and somehow playing Fruit Ninja (but only in arcade mode)

  • Niobe Szabo, Under Secretary-General for External Relations

Having served as an Assistant Chair at LIMUN HS for the past two year, Niobe is delighted to be back to serve as the USG for Outreach for LIMUN HS Edition X this year.

Niobe is a first-year International Relations student studying at King’s College London. Having rejoined the MUN circuit in 2023, she hasn’t looked back since, spending most of her time chairing conference and training delegates while in sixth form.

As a delegate, Niobe loves representing non-Western countries or the P5 in committees like DISEC, but as a chair, her passion lies in working issues relating to human rights or social and economic development. She is interested in all things diplomacy and conflict resolution, although she is still trying to figure out what she wants to pursue as a career. She is currently a member of KCLUNA and continues to take part in conferences across London.

In her spare time, Niobe enjoys swimming, baking, sewing clothes, and whenever possible, she loves going on long walks with dogs.

She looks forward to strengthening the connections LIMUN HS fosters with schools and welcoming everyone to the 2026 conference.

  • Oban Mackie, Under Secretary-General for Operations

Having chaired LIMUN-HS last year, Oban is ecstatic to return for LIMUN-HS Edition X as the Under-Secretary General of Operations.

Oban is a final year BA History and Political Economy student at King’s College London, managing this degree alongside an arguably more important MUN passion dating back to 2021. He serves as KCLUNA’s Training Officer and USG-Chairing of ULMUN, having previously been Secretary-General of his sixth form’s MUN club and conference from 2022-2023.

Enthusiastic about politics, debate, and public speaking since the age of nine, Oban spent last year hopping between virtually every UNSC on the surface of the earth, co-winning the Diplomacy Award on UNSC at LIMUN and co-chairing UNSC at LIMUN-HS.

Outside of MUN, his passion for international relations continues as part of Chatham House’s Common Futures Conversations, while also being an avid coffee connoisseur. You will probably also see him at the gym, going for long walks at home in the countryside, or attending (yet another) Taylor Swift or Lorde concert.

  • Brendan Mclean, Under Secretary-General for Personnel

Brendan is a second-year War Studies and History student at King's College London. Despite having participated in Model UN for 5 years prior, he only attended his first conference in 2024, delegating Russia in UNDRR at LIMUN-HS' 8th edition. He returned last year as a Chair and is very pleased to be serving on the Secretariat this year.

Outside of a worrying amount of time in Model UN, he also likes photography, reading, playing guitar and (very slowly) learning Russian. He hopes you enjoy this year's edition of LIMUN-HS as much as he enjoyed his first

  • Owen Tsai, Under-Secretary-General for Media and Design

Owen is the USG Media and Design for LIMUN HS Edition X. He is a final-year Philosophy, Politics and Economics student at UCL from Hong Kong. Having started his MUN journey in first year (as a terrified Security Council delegate), has been hooked to MUN and all of its aspects ever since, especially acronyms. He will be trying his best to balance his studies and other commitments with being the Vice President of UCL United Nations Association and the USG Media for two conferences (UCLMUN and LIMUN HS) this academic year. Speaking of his other commitments, he is a vocalist and sincerely urges all of you to buy tickets for his A Cappella concerts.
