Secretary-General,
LIMUN-HS Edition X
Dear Delegates,
When I think of Model United Nations, it is not simply a competition of ideas, It is an amazing space that has taught us to think beyond ourselves. it challenges us to understand unique perspectives, to reach common ground where disagreement seems inevitable, and to use our voices not to overpower others, but to come together and create solutions together. MUN creates leaders who negotiate with empathy, speak with purpose, and act with integrity. It is this spirit of meaningful dialogue that that we proudly celebrate at LIMUN-HS
It is with great excitement that I, along with my Secretariat, welcome you to the 10th Edition of LIMUN-HS, taking place from the 24th to the 26th of April. For a decade, LIMUN-HS has provided delegates with a platform to explore diplomacy, sharpen their skills, and make lifelong connections. This year, we celebrate not just our journey, but the extraordinary potential of the next generation of changemakers who will take it forward.
This year’s theme, “Reinventing the Forum: Empowering Changemakers,” celebrates the the evolution of diplomacy in a world that demands innovation, accountability and action, Modern Diplomacy is no longer restricted to negotiation tables or National borders. It is shaped by young leaders, such as yourselves, who question the norm, build inclusive solution, and redefine what global leadership looks like. At LIMUN-HS, we aim to cultivate this new generation of changemakers by creating a space where dialogue becomes collaboration, and where every delegate has the opportunity to influence meaningful change.
As we celebrate our 10 year anniversary, we are thrilled to introduce new initiatives, surprises, and experiences that will shape the most dynamic edition of LIMUN-HS yet. Among them is the LIMUN-HS Tour, an expansion on our delegate training programme in which members of our Secretariat will visit schools across the UK and the world, both virtually and in-person, to host workshops, helping students cultivate confidence, negotiation abilities, and a deeper understanding of global affairs before the conference even begins. We invite schools and delegates to stay tuned. There is much more to come.
LIMUN-HS Edition X is a tribute to our community. It is a tribute to the delegates who debate with passion, the teachers who believe in their students, and the alumni who continue to inspire excellence in diplomacy. Together, let us embark on a conference that celebrates collaboration, curiosity, and the future of global leadership.
Welcome to LIMUN-HS. Welcome to ten years of impact, and to the decade ahead.

History of the LIMUN High School Conference
While the LIMUN Foundation was created in 2000, it took LIMUN 16 years to launch another conference alongside the popular university conference. It came to life after a group of Trustees, Secretariat members and seasoned participants all united behind a shared goal of increasing the social impact of the charity and the diversity of the community.
The conference aims to provide an accessible starting point and an introduction to MUN to high school students, particularly those whose socioeconomic backgrounds would not afford them a chance to participate in such extracurricular projects.
The conference has steadily grown to attract delegations from within and beyond the shores of the UK. It has remained a hub for growth and, for many, a first glimpse into the multilateral world we share through her institutions.
We are actively seeking new delegations and particularly welcome those new to MUN!
If your school would like to get involved with the conference please do not hesitate to get in touch
HS Connected Programs
-
LIMUN HS Portal
The LIMUN HS Portal is an online training program and resource available to all delegates and interested parties. Originally devised by the Secretariat for the Eighth Edition of the conference, the portal has been completed and published by the Ninth Edition Secretariat.
The Portal includes resources such as how to’s, FAQs, the conference schedule, a map of the conference venue, travel information, a library including our Rules of Procedure and position paper templates. The Portal is also the new online home of our Connected Delegates Program (CDP) resources and is the successor to that program.

The LIMUN-HS Tour
As part of the LIMUN-HS Delegate Training Programme, we are very proud to introduce the LIMUN-HS Tour, an initiative designed to bring high-quality MUN training directly to students. Through the Tour, our team will be hosting interactive workshops—both in person and virtually—at schools that wish to welcome us. These sessions will cover essential MUN skills and provide delegates with personalised guidance to help them thrive at conference. If your school is interested in hosting a workshop, please indicate so below and we will share further details.

Connected Delegates Program (CDP)
Connected Delegates Program (CDP) is an online MUN training/workshop program created by the LIMUN: HS Outreach team. As a consequence of the widespread COVID-19 pandemic, we have changed the mode of delivery of our classes to online since we believe that it is important for our students to continue pursuing their passion for Model UN, even at home. With the success of the first cohort of Connected Delegates Program in 2020, the LIMUN: HS Outreach team is continuously running the “Connected Delegates Program (CDP)” every summer through which students can participate in MUN training and workshops online as one of their extracurricular activities anywhere in the world.
